I would like to take the opportunity to introduce and commend to you Brother Paul Snider.
Paul has been to the Papua mission field with his family to minister to the remote people of that region. He has recently traveled with Trevor Johnson while Brother Trevor was on furlough with his family; and both Paul and Trevor have presented the blessed work God is doing through them in Indonesia and Papua to our congregation here in Anniston, Alabama.
Trevor has now returned to Papua with his family while Paul is still here in the United States raising support to return on a long-term basis with his wife Patricia and their two young children, Lane and Marianne.
The wonderful thing about supporting Brother Paul in his mission is that it is like supporting two missionary families at the same time. Having spent several years as a cross-cultural missionary in the Philippines and remote bush Alaska to Yup’ik natives, I know firsthand what a blessing it is to have someone nearby, or at least in the vicinity (a few hundred miles apart in Trevor and Paul’s case), who comes from the same culture and can provide encouragement because they both are going through the very same ministry trials. Our supporting Brother Paul and his family actually supports Brother Trevor and his family.
I know that these are woeful economic times, and congregations may be extended as far as they can go with their current missionaries, while still maintaining their present ministries; however, if you hear of the work firsthand, you may know of some pastors and congregations that would be mutually blessed to partner in prayer with Paul and his family.
Paul’s ministry objectives in Papua, Indonesia are:
-To proclaim the Gospel to the tribes of West Papua.
-Train and strengthen GIDI evangelists working in that region already.
-Establish churches among the Northern and Southern tribes.

(Their missions presentation may be one of the very best presentations for missions I have personally ever seen)
Paul has an excellent DVD available presenting the work he and Trevor are doing in Papua, Indonesia. You can find more information on the Snider’s here,

Paul’s emails are paul.snider@worldteam.org or smile0979@aol.com
As a missionary myself, who had to leave the mission field due to physical infirmities, it is a blessing for me not only to be able to minister by God’s grace at Sovereign Grace Baptist Chruch, but also to be connected with such an incredible work of God in a place such as Papua.
Thank you for indulging me in this note. May the Lord continue to bless you in your service to Christ and your witness for Him.
I am ever at the Cross, in Christ’s service, and at yours,
jon cardwell
