14 To th’ angel of the church of the Laodiceans
Write; This says the Amen, and Witness true,
The Faithful Witness; Beginning of creation;
15 I know your works and all the things you do;
You’re neither hot nor cold: I would that you were one.
16 But you’re lukewarm: I’ll spit you from My mouth.
17 You say you’re rich, increased with goods, and need nothing;
But you are wretched, sad, poor, blind, and uncloth’d.
18 I counsel you to buy from Me the purest gold;
That you’d be rich, and clothed to hide your shame,
With raiment white to cover up your nakedness;
And anoint your eyes with salve in Jesus’ name.
19 All those I love, I rebuke, chasten, discipline;
Therefore, be zealous and repent from sin.
20 Behold, I knock and call so that my voice is heard;
If any answer I’ll enter and I’ll dine with him.
21 To every overcomer I will grant to sit
With Me in glory on My very throne;
Just as I, too, did overcome when on the earth―
Hung on that tree for man’s sins to atone.
Now I’m sitting with My Father in His throne;
And rule and reign in all Jehovah’s ways.
22 Unto all churches, not just Laodicea,
Who has an ear heed what the Holy Spirit says.
