What
“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:”
—Romans 3:24
“That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.”
—Titus 3:7, 8
This weblog contains articles and links to articles promoting the Biblical truths of Christ crucified and the doctrines of grace; specifically, that the truth of man’s salvation is in God’s justification by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, is for God’s glory alone, according to Scripture alone.
Though the essence of this weblog flows forth from those truths, this site exists for the edification and education of the body of Christ; that is, for believers who have been saved by God’s grace, born from above, and regenerated as new creatures unto saving faith and repentance.
STATEMENT OF FAITH:
I am in general agreement with the early English Baptist confessions, such as the 1st London Baptist Confession of Faith (1644/1646) and 2nd London Bapitst Confession of Faith (1677/1689), as well as the early American Baptist confessions, such as the Philadelphia Confession of Faith (1742) and the New Hampshire Confessioin of Faith (1833).
Additionally, by God’s grace, in my faith I strive to be Reformed in theology but not exclusive; Calvinistic in bibliology but not fatalistic; evangelistic in soteriology but not pragmatic; amillennial in eschatology but not dogmatic; puritanical in praxeology but not legalistic.
